Kalkan from the Dalaman Airport

Last summer I and my husband decided to visit Turkey, we started from the south-west cost also known popularly as the Turquoise Coast, because we were attracted by the combination of a favorable climate, warm sea, mountainous scenery, fine beaches and abundant natural and archaeological points of interest. We chose Kalkan as a fisrts place to go because Kalkan includes many historical sites and many fine beaches. We arrived at Dalaman airport as it is the closest airport to Kalkan. İt takes 1,5 hours to get to Kalkan from Dalaman airport by a car. The distance between these two towns is 100 km. As we had booked a villa to stay in Kalkan the best way for us to get there was to rent a car. We hired a car and started our vacation in Turkey. The moment we arrived in Kalkan we fell in love with the town. It's a charming and serene place to spend a relaxing vacation. The villa we stayed was in the middle of nature, nestled by trees and the view was lovely. A car is essential in Kalkan and as we had already arranged rental car it was great cruising in the town center and to neighbouring historical places . It was truly an unforgettable vacation and I am looking forward to my next visit! I am already planning for comming several times this summer!

There are many historical and natural sites around Kalkan.

Xanthos, Letoon, Patara, Kas, Islamlar, Pınara, Sidyma, Saklıkent Gorge are the most eye-catching spots that should be visited.
